Cheryl Franklin is the organizer of the Ozarks Homesteading Expo. She worked in print media her entire adult life so she could finance her secret obsession with dairy goats, pigs, chickens, sheep, turkeys, gardening and teaching 4-H and living history. She is addicted to volunteering, which she admits but is not seeking counsel to overcome.
About Cheryl
Cheryl Franklin spent decades in the newspaper business telling people's stories and promoting many products and services, She simultaneously created a homestead with her husband and three children where she grew passionate about cooking from scratch, organic gardening, preserving food, baking all types of bread, making soap, raising dairy goats and various other heritage breeds of livestock and poultry. Cheryl now uses that passion to create various homesteading events where thousands of people have the opportunity to learn from the best homesteading experts in the country and shop for quality homesteading products and resources, including Roots & Harvest. She led a local 4-H club for many years where she taught photography and dairy goats and in 2019 founded the Ozarks Homesteading Expo and a ladies homesteading group that meets monthly in her area. In 2024 the first week-long, overnight Ladies Homesteading Camp was held which created life-long skills and memories for the attendees.
