Description

The Electric Bath Canner brings versatility and efficiency to your kitchen. It’s more energy-efficient than a stovetop water bath canner and doubles as a multi-cooker. You can even use it to dispense coffee, cider, cocoa, and other hot beverages. The adjustable temperature ranges from 120° to 212°F, and an indicator light shows when the set temperature is reached.

This canner includes a one-piece stainless steel pot with a plug-in base, a snug-fitting glass lid with a ventilation hole, and a removable canning rack to keep jars off the bottom for proper circulation. The 27 L pot accommodates up to 8 quart jars, 11 pint jars, or 14 jelly jars. Cool-touch handles make it easy to move, and the built-in spigot allows for safe draining and serving. When set to “Boil,” it will maintain a rolling boil for reliable canning and cooking.

Dr. Brigid McCrea is an Extension Specialist at Auburn University working with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Avian Science are from the University of California at Davis, and Ph.D. in Poultry Science is from Auburn University. She specializes in small flocks; niche market poultry products; and both pre– and post-harvest food safety.
