Description

Lock in freshness and keep air out—the enemy of flavor—with our Canning Jar Sealer Kit. This complete set includes both regular and wide-mouth jar sealers plus an external vacuum hose, so you can create a strong vacuum seal on most standard canning jars. Use with any vacuum sealer that has a canister port to extend the life of dry goods and pantry staples. Simply vacuum-seal the lid to the jar, remove the sealer, and reuse it on the next jar. Note: Vacuum jar sealing is for short-term storage only and is not a substitute for heat canning. Individual regular-mouth and wide-mouth sealers also available.

  • Compatibility: Kit works with LEM's MaxVac® Sealers and other brand vacuum sealers; Jar Sealers fit regular or wide mouth jars
  • Care Instructions: Jar Sealers are dishwasher safe; Vacuum Hose should be hand-washed only

Dr. Brigid McCrea

Educational, Extension Specialist, Chicken Whisperer

Dr. Brigid McCrea is an Extension Specialist at Auburn University working with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Avian Science are from the University of California at Davis, and Ph.D. in Poultry Science is from Auburn University. She specializes in small flocks; niche market poultry products; and both pre– and post-harvest food safety. She is also the co-author of “The Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Keeping Chickens,” “Chicken Fact or Chicken Poop,” and “Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Zero Waste Chicken Keeping.”
