Description

Keep your canning jars safe, clean, and organized with patent-pending SafeCrates™. Each crate holds jars in individual cells so they never touch, preventing chips and breakage. The snap-shut top and bottom keep jars dust-free and can be used separately for easy transport to your pantry, basement, or car. Made from sturdy, easy-to-clean polypropylene, these translucent crates let you see what’s inside at a glance. SafeCrates stack securely to maximize storage space (note: half-gallon crates do not stack with other sizes). Holds 20 jelly jars.

Dr. Brigid McCrea

Educational, Extension Specialist, Chicken Whisperer

Dr. Brigid McCrea is an Extension Specialist at Auburn University working with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Avian Science are from the University of California at Davis, and Ph.D. in Poultry Science is from Auburn University. She specializes in small flocks; niche market poultry products; and both pre– and post-harvest food safety. She is also the co-author of “The Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Keeping Chickens,” “Chicken Fact or Chicken Poop,” and “Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Zero Waste Chicken Keeping.”
