Rooted in Community: Supporting Homestead Education One Event at a Time
At Roots & Harvest, we believe in more than just supplying tools for your homestead kitchen—we belie...
This suction‑base cheese grater gives you steady, hands‑free grating for the cheeses you use most in a home kitchen. The secure suction base keeps the grater in place, so you can work comfortably with both hard and semi‑soft cheeses without slipping or wobbling. It includes 2 stainless steel drums: one designed for fine grating and the other for coarse shredding. The fine drum is ideal for aging‑style hard cheeses like Parmesan, Romano, Pecorino, or Asiago when you want a delicate, even grate. The coarse drum handles everyday semi‑soft cheeses like cheddar or firm mozzarella, giving you larger, more rustic pieces perfect for melting or topping. To use it, add your cheese to the hopper, turn the handle, and guide it with the included safety pusher.
Grater disassembles easily for cleaning. Handwash in warm, soapy water, and be sure to pull the rubber edge of the suction base slightly away from the body so it can drain and air dry before storing.

Throughout history, families have benefited from the time-honored tradition of using the land to sustain them. Cultivating homegrown goods has a way of building community, encouraging hard work, and passing down life-long skills. Having the right equipment and instruction is essential to building this dream; this is where we would like to help. Roots & Harvest® delights in supporting this dream by supplying the necessary equipment for the urban homesteader to those fully living off the land. We love helping people discover and embrace skills such as bread-baking, cheese-making, canning, fermenting, meat bird raising and so many more.
