Description

It's easy to seal in freshness and flavor with the MaxVac® Vacuum Sealer 3 Piece Canister Set. Vacuum sealing canisters remove air to keep food fresher longer and are perfect for vacuum packaging pressure sensitive foods or liquids such as tomatoes, soups, salad, or fruits. Ideal for storing dry goods, crackers, and cereal to prevent staleness. They are even great for marinating meat. This 3-piece set includes 2-cup, 3-cup, and 4-cup canisters, giving you flexibility for storing smaller and larger portions. The lids have a unique one-way valve design that vacuums an airtight seal with just a few pumps, and the visible green Airlock™ indicator confirms a strong vacuum. Hand pump is included. The canisters can also be used in conjunction with a vacuum sealer with an external port using an external hose attachment (sold separately).

Dr. Brigid McCrea is an Extension Specialist at Auburn University working with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Avian Science are from the University of California at Davis, and Ph.D. in Poultry Science is from Auburn University. She specializes in small flocks; niche market poultry products; and both pre– and post-harvest food safety. She is also the co-author of “The Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Keeping Chickens,” “Chicken Fact or Chicken Poop,” and “Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Zero Waste Chicken Keeping.”
