Yes, this Sausage Stuffer is perfect for making summer sausage. We recommend using the 1" stuffing tube that is included with the stuffer.
Our 1606 - 5lb. Stainless Steel stuffer has all metal gear construction.
I’ve never made tamales with it, but I think it’s a great idea. I don’t think any modification would be required!
I could see how to prepare the tamale filling and put it in the stuffer, Then after steaming the corn shucks, simply hold the shuck in your hand, taco shell like, place under the stuffing tube and turn the crank to adequately fill the shuck. Fold and done.
I can see how it would be easier than spooning the filling into the shuck.
Again, I’ve not done it but it sounds like a great idea.
We do not sell stuffing tubes of that size. For a stuffing tube to fit this Sausage Stuffer, it needs to have a 1 9/16" base.
Yes, the Mighty Bite 5lb Stuffer is perfect for making snack sticks.

No, the handle only has a one way attachment.
The only difference is the plastic vs stainless steel stuffing tubes. The plastic tubes do have a small taper at the end and the stainless steel tubes do not, this can make putting casings on a little easier. The 1606SS does come with a 1/2 OD tube for making snack sticks. The stainless steel tubes are more durable than the plastic which can help with their longevity.
The cylinder measures approximately 4.75 Id x 8 tall- holds approximately .614 gallons, 141.764 cubic inches, or approx 2.32 liters.
